It's time to meet the Southfield team...

Mrs Cairns is our Head Teacher.

Mrs Worthington is our deputy head Foundation Stage and Literacy co-odinator. She is on maternity leave at the moment following the birth of baby Fred but she will be back with us in February of next year. We are all really missing her. Her picture will follow shortly...

Mrs Ward is our acting deputy head. She is also the maths co-ordinator and teaches the Year 4 class.

Miss Brookes is our Foundation Stage teacher and PE co-ordinator. She is getting married at Christmas and her new name will be Mrs Gurner. Here she is with some of her children and their pictures of themselves! Her class is called White Base.

Our Year 1 teacher is Miss Gaddes. She is a new member of the Southfield team, but fits in with the school ethos perfectly. Her class is called Green Base and her LSA is Mrs Cronin, also pictured below. Mrs Cronin has a son who attends nursery at Southfield. His name is Logan.

We have two teachers in Year 2 who have a job share. Mrs Fox and Miss Duffin. Their class is called Blue Base. Mrs Fox is also responsible for Healthy Schools and Miss Duffin is the Massage in Schools co-ordinator.

Our Year 3 teacher is Miss Taylor. She is also the Extended Schools and Science Manager. Her class are called the Yellow Base Monkeys and their mascot is called Mugglebump!

Year Five's teacher is Mrs Hogg. She is also the ICT and Innovations Manager and History C0-ordinator. Her class are the Pink Base Panthers.

Miss Maltby is our Year 6 teacher, Modern Foreign Languages Co-ordinator and Music Co-ordinator. Her class are the Purple Base Kangaroos.

Those were the teachers. Now it's time to meet some of the other staff who make Southfield such a great place to be...

Mrs Reed is our Nursery Nurse and HLTA. Mrs Gelder is an LSA. Mrs Rothwell is a HLTA and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Mrs Mason is an LSA. They all work in the Foundation Unit with Miss Brookes.

The LSA in Year 1 is Mrs Cronin. Here is a picture of her doing guided reading with a group of children. Mrs Cronin also has a son at Southfield who is in our nursery. His name is Logan.

Our Year 2 LSA is Mrs Parkes. A picture of her is to follow shortly...

In Year 3 our HLTA is Mrs Richardson. Mrs Richardson is also responsible for First Aid and Risk Assessments. She is also the longest serving member at Southfield! Here is a picture of her doing a spelling activity with a Year 3 child.

In Year 4 our LSA is Mrs Huddart. She is also responsible for Springboard Maths in Year 6.

Year Five's LSA is Mrs Cooper who also helps out in the Foundation Stage. She is joined by Mrs Powell who is part of Year 5 as well as being the Lead Midday Supervisor.

In Year 6 our HLTA is Mrs Brown. Mrs Brown also teaches in Year 4 every week as she is training to be a teacher; we know that she will make an excellent one! A picture of her is to follow...

Below is a picture of Miss Chapman. She is our ICT technician and as Southfield uses a lot of technical equipment on a daily basis, she is very busy! Miss Chapman also takes Year 5 swimming on a Wednesday along with Miss Challis. Miss Challis is also pictured below, painting with some Year 2 children.

So you've met the teachers and the support staff, now it's time to meet the office staff. Here is a picture of Mrs Davies who is our Office and Finance Manager and Mrs Lee who is our secretary.
