Music at Southfield sees children enjoying a multitude of learning opportunities, both in and out of the classroom, learning to appreciate, compose and perform.

The ‘Wider Opportunities’ music scheme has enabled the school to acquire a full class set of brass instruments for year 4. Teaching is supported by outside practicioners and the class are taught as a full class set! In addition to class learning, peripatetic lessons and after school clubs see children learning flute, violins, guitars and percussion.
